Paul Fredrick just launched their Summer 2014 collection of formal dress shirts, patterned ties and suits for men. Incorporating bold prints in their ties to complement the range of bright colors available in their range of shirts, the collection makes a bold statement with its block colors and stripes. Shirts are largely French cuff and straight collar, with a mix of tapered collars and button down collars adding to the mix. The green dot pattern and solid melon color shirts are a nice variation on the otherwise staid color palette.

This being the Summer collection, the focus on cotton is unmistakable, providing a comfortable look and feel. The seersucker cotton suits will keep you comfortable even out in the sun, and set off with the bold designs and prints of their signature ties, make an impressive statement. We love the paisley and botanical prints in bright eye-catching colors, with a liberal dose of pastel shades for the not-so-bold of heart. The striped tie collection showcases some interesting colors as well, with a variety of mixes. The orange botanical print in stripes is an interesting piece, as is the white woven silk tie with triple stripes. The green swirl tie and the navy sailboat tie are also pieces that catch the eye. While the two-color pink and blue bow tie may be an attempt to strike out in a bold direction, it may not quite suit the average fashion-conscious male.

Image 2All in all, the Paul Fredrick collection has a few outstanding pieces that make an impact, and the entire collection complements itself, with a good mix of standard designs and interesting experiments in bringing bolder colors to the fore in this season.
